Job 1: Agile Coach / Project Management & Solutions

Job Description

Position Accountability Statement: This role is responsible for the stewardship of systems/technologies that will be implemented to support the company's defined OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide project managers and stakeholders in defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Provide inputs on project plans, timelines and resource allocation and coordinates with PMO
  • Ensure that projects adhere to quality standards, best practices and guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Coaches and supports project counterparts in terms of design and system architecture to ensure scalability, security and reliability
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones and escalate project blockers to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
  • Ensure projects align with the organization's systems and infrastructure strategy and business objectives
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and systems to support business growth and innovation, in partnership with IT
  • Manage change effectively within the organization related to systems and infrastructure projects
  • Facilitate stakeholder buy-in and adoption of new systems or technologies

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on system projects and implementations, ideally within the healthcare industry.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.

3-5 years of experience as a Lead, Solutions Architecture or Enterprise Solutions is highly desired.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach.

The Agile Coach supports the continuous buildup of Agile Frameworks and Methodologies within Bayer. The position will provide guidance to Project Leads, Scrum Team and all employees managing a project following the Agile framework.

Your Roles And Responsibilities

  • Ensure development and implementation of Agile mindset within Bayer to aid and sustain high performing teams following Agile principles
  • Coach and mentor leadership and team members on different Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile, based on the team construct and to align them with the overall portfolio
  • Coach new Scrum-Masters in efficiently facilitating Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and retrospective meetings
  • Design programs or activities to facilitate the adoption of Agile Principle in the organization, including an operating model for future Agile practices
  • Develop a recruitment, training, and development strategy with the goal of building internal capability in Agile coaching
  • Prepare and facilitate training different teams on Agile Principles
  • Provide detailed guidelines and directions to all central and local teams in managing projects using Agile framework and methodologies
  • Help teams stay on track of projects using Agile Framework and Methodologies
  • Regularly conduct assessment of the team's Agile maturity
  • Serve as Scrum Master when needed especially for new or special project teams

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach
  • 5+ years of Agile experience in project and product development that has delivered significant customer and business value
  • Experience in Agile Transformation of varying project/initiative size and complexity
  • Has ability to apply and transfer practical knowledge in different Agile frameworks and methodologies
  • Strong leader, mentor and coach
  • Excellent communicator and motivator
  • Proven skills in facilitation, collaboration, conflict resolution and problem solving
  • Certification in Agile, Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
  • Coaching certification is a plus but not required
  • Ability to build up trustful relationships.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Advise clients on legal and compliance considerations relevant to their projects.
  • Manage expectations and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders.

Quality & Risk Management

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Anticipate and address project risks, including legal and operational exposures.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend improvements.
