Overview

We are looking for a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to design and build solutions that improve application health and performance, enable visibility, and automate processes to enhance system reliability and customer experience. The team provides consulting and education on observability reliability practices, creates new tools, and surfaces operational data to simplify workflows as part of the transformation to a data-driven organization.

Position Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with other teams to provide application monitoring strategy.
  • Building and configuring monitoring (Synthetics, APM, Infrastructure) within the Monitoring Platform.
  • Designing and building new application monitors, dashboards, and creative solutions.
  • Creating automation solutions using scripting languages via APIs.
  • Using problem-solving skills with tooling to uncover application issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Create visibility of data and help partners understand it.
  • Design, support and enhance the current toolset.
  • Promote observability and reliability engineering within the team and beyond.
  • Maintain communications with business allies to ensure information is clear to technical and non-technical members.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal teams.
  • Adapt to evolving priorities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any IT related field
  • 8 to 10+ years in a senior technical IT role
  • Designs, builds, and maintains the monitoring technology platform
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with monitoring tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, CA APM, PRTG
  • Amenable to work at UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid setup (3x a week onsite)
  • Amenable to work in a day and night shift schedule (team supports global services)

  • Familiarity with AI Operations tools (Moogsoft, Copilot, AgenticAI)
  • Understanding of Observability and Reliability Engineering and benefits
  • Knowledge of Financial Services or Insurance industry and/or large enterprise experience
  • ITIL Foundations or Practitioner certifications (especially Support Operations)
