Job Role: Junior .NET Developer

Compensation: $1,900 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: With a strong footprint across Australia’s eastern states, this long-established commercial services provider is known for delivering high-quality building maintenance and refurbishment solutions. Their clients range from major corporations to government agencies, and their projects span everything from reactive maintenance and insurance repairs to large-scale facility upgrades

Role Overview: We are seeking a Junior .NET Developer with hands-on experience in SkySpark and Grafana to join our Energy Management Services team. This role will focus on data integration, database management, UI development, API connections, and system design, working with SkySpark deployed on Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Integration
  • Import data from diverse sources at scale with minimal manual intervention
  • Develop scripts to harmonize heterogeneous data and automate tagging using Axon/Fantom or similar tools
• Analytics & Rules
  • Perform time-series analysis and explore tagged data in SkySpark (Axon)
  • Collaborate with domain experts to translate requirements into Axon functions
  • Implement rollups, pattern recognition, and statistical analysis to generate actionable insights
• SQL Database Management
  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases tailored for SkySpark data
  • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
  • Write and tune SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation
• UI Development
  • Work with designers and front-end developers to build intuitive, responsive user interfaces
  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to integrate UI elements with SkySpark functionality
• API Connections
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs to connect SkySpark with external systems
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
• System Architecture & Design
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and component definitions
  • Collaborate with senior developers and architects to deliver scalable, reliable solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong fundamentals in .NET (C#) and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with SkySpark (Axon/Fantom) for data modeling, analytics, and rule-based automation
• Proficiency in Grafana for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling
• SQL (writing efficient queries, schema design, performance tuning, and database optimization)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript for responsive UI development and integration with backend systems
• Frontend development with React, Next.js, and Material UI
• Experience with RESTful API design, development, and secure authentication/authorization
• Knowledge of time-series data handling, IoT sensor integration, and energy management systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, database backup, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development workflows
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
