Key Responsibilities Teaching and learning, including higher degree supervision. Engage teaching and learning on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels: develop study material, facilitate contact sessions, internal and external moderation and assessment. Research and innovation: conduct engaged research, supervise postgraduate students, examine postgraduate research dissertations and/or theses, participate in applicable research entities, publish articles. Independent research and share expertise with diverse communities of practice and enquiry. Social responsiveness and industry involvement: maintain community service as scholarly practice, execute activities making discipline-based skills and knowledge relevant to the community. Academic leadership, management and administration: participate in faculty and school committees. Minimum Requirements Senior Lecturer Master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Clinical Psychology. Registered as Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. Minimum 3 years’ teaching and learning experience in blended contact sessions with university students. Minimum 3 years’ research and innovation experience with stable publication record (at least 2 published articles) and supervision of at least 1 M student to completion/graduation. Minimum 3 years’ generic Clinical Psychology practice experience – direct practice and/or Clinical Psychology supervisory/managerial. Lecturer Master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Clinical Psychology. Registered as Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. Minimum 1 year teaching and learning experience in blended contact sessions with university students. Minimum 1 year generic Clinical Psychology practice experience – direct practice and/or Clinical Psychology supervisory/managerial. Additional Advantage PhD (NQF level 10) in Clinical Psychology. Key Functional / Technical Competencies Ability to work from an evidence-based approach in psychology. Excellent communication skills (verbally and written). Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, e‑mail, PowerPoint, software for data analysis). Behavioural Competencies Ability to use e‑media for teaching, studying and communication. Ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Good time management and ability to work well under pressure. Remuneration The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
