Job Description Operational Leadership: Serves as a subject matter expert and leads the team in handling ServiceNow data-related incidents, defects, and tasks in alignment with defined SLAs. Conducts routine system health checks for the CMDB and Discovery, including monitoring jobs, data loads, and MID servers. Identifies and resolves data issues in the ITOM environment through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Data Quality & Governance: Manages software installations and upgrades, configures and loads data into the system, and enforces strict data governance to maintain the accuracy and reliability of CMDB data. Promotes best practices in ServiceNow and CMDB usage, favoring out-of-the-box solutions when applicable. Integration & Development: Leads implementation initiatives, provides regular project updates, and proactively communicates potential risks to project success. Develops and integrates ServiceNow with external platforms using REST, SOAP APIs, and web services, with a strong focus on automating data imports and synchronization for real-time accuracy. Discovery Management: Sets up and optimizes Discovery patterns and schedules to ensure precise identification and mapping of IT infrastructure. Responsible for creating and maintaining discovery schedules and patterns to close any gaps in the CMDB. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluates and implements improvements to enhance data accuracy, performance, and processing efficiency. Engages with the broader platform community to stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Operates effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment-communicating with IT and business stakeholders and actively contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and execution. The Successful Applicant 10+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM (CMDB administration, Discovery& Service Mapping), and ITSM processes Minimum of 5+ years working on a team as part of a large IT organization. Minimum of 5+ years leading build/run team members. Proficient in SDLC and Agile methodology Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Experience with scripting and automation in ServiceNow (JavaScript, Unix shell scripting, Windows scripting, PowerShell, Perl, Python). Experience with service graph connectors & various data sources. Experience in web technologies and APIs (REST, SOAP). Experience with Application portfolio management, information Objects & TPM. Experience using CSDM framework & configuring dynamic CI groups. Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights from data. Understanding of Incident Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management as it relates to ITIL.
