• The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment (excluding Main Turbine and Turbine Control Systems) in the geothermal power plant. This position involves supervising RCM specialists, planning and implementing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintenance Management: Supervise the overhauling, upgrade, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Testing and Commissioning: Perform tests to ensure that the equipment is functioning correctly according to its operational standards and verify that the maintenance work meets the quality standards.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources including assignment of manpower, identification of materials, tools, and equipment, and withdrawal of inventory items from warehouse for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintenance Planning: Define the scope of each maintenance task, including detailed descriptions of the work to be done, the resources needed, and safety precautions based on equipment manuals and procedures, and historical maintenance data to optimize the maintenance intervals and procedures.
• Maintenance Scheduling: Create a detailed maintenance schedule that aligns with the plant’s priority using computer systems which track their status, and update schedules in real-time based on unexpected changes or emergency maintenance needs.
• Documentation and Reports: Consolidate all documents and test results regarding the performed tasks and review the documentation to identify any trends or recurring problems that might suggest a need for further action or a change in maintenance strategy.
• Maintenance Strategy: Conduct RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) tools like FMECA (Failure Mode, Effect, and Criticality Analysis), Asset Condition Assessment, Asset Criticality Analysis, and other Asset Management techniques to improve equipment reliability and performance, prioritize maintenance activities, and optimize operational costs.
• Safety, Environmental and Compliance: Enforce SHE policies, procedures, and best practices within the mechanical team, promoting a culture of safety awareness, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
• Risk Management: Conduct Task Risk Analysis (TRA) for maintenance tasks, identifying potential safety hazards, implementing risk mitigation measures, and promoting a safe work environment.
• Budget and Cost Management: Budget Planning and Allocation, Cost Control, Procurement Execution, Procurement Coordination, and Procurement Monitoring for maintenance resources, ensuring compliance with budgets and procurement policies.
• Stakeholder Communication and Management: Internal and External communication to coordinate maintenance priorities, schedules, and activities with production personnel, departments, vendors, and service providers; support change management initiatives and communicate changes effectively.
• Staff Development and Human Resources: Training and Skill Enhancement, assist in performance evaluations and competency assessments, provide feedback and recognition for team members, and perform related duties as assigned.

• Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer
• With at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in geothermal, thermal, industrial, or similarly complex operational environments
• Must possess strong technical competency, including hands-on experience in executing maintenance tasks, knowledge of power plant operations (including steam field systems), proficiency in the use of tools, heavy equipment, and test instruments, as well as familiarity with plant-related software, programs, and systems. Must also be capable of analyzing data to enhance maintenance strategies and plant performance
