Compensation range: $2,000 - $3,000 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: The client is an independent financial planning practice that provides transparent, flat-fee advice designed to help individuals and families make confident financial decisions. With expertise spanning superannuation, investments, retirement planning, and estate strategies, they focus on creating tailored roadmaps that reflect each client’s goals and values. Their people-first approach is built on trust, clarity, and long-term relationships, ensuring advice that is practical, unbiased, and genuinely aligned to improving financial wellbeing.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Client Service Officer / Paraplanner to join our client’s growing offshore team supporting a leading Australian financial advisory practice. This role is designed for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and build trust within the team. You will play a key role in enhancing the client experience by ensuring smooth, efficient, and professional support across client service and paraplanning tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end client service processes to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Prepare and review Statements of Advice (SoAs), Records of Advice (RoAs), and other compliance-related documents.
- Support financial advisers by handling paraplanning tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update client records in CRM systems.
- Liaise with product providers and clients to follow up on applications, transactions, and outstanding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Australian financial services regulations and company policies.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in client services, paraplanning, or a similar role in financial planning/wealth management.
- Should be based in Cebu, Philippines, and willing to report onsite in Cebu once a physical office has been established.
- Strong understanding of financial planning processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience with SMSF, Family Trusts and personal life insurance
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise confidently with advisers, providers, and clients.
- Proficiency with financial planning software, CRMs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-driven, proactive, and committed to building trust and long-term relationships within the team.
- Previous experience supporting Australian financial planners.
Our client is committed to building a strong, supportive offshore team culture. While the role is remote for now, there are plans to establish a physical office in Cebu to encourage camaraderie and collaboration. Team members will also have opportunities to travel to Australia periodically to strengthen connections with the onshore team.
