Senior Frontend Engineer (Cupid Media) at Social Discovery Group

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for one of our most well-established products - Cupid Media.

Overview

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is the 3rd largest social discovery company in the world, uniting 60+ brands with 500 million users. Our portfolio includes online communication platforms focusing on AI, game mechanics, and video streaming — Dating.com, DateMyAge, Cupid Media, Dil Mil, Kiseki, and others. Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of robust and user-friendly web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement responsive design principles for optimal performance across devices.
  • Participate in architectural design and planning of web applications.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate front-end components.
  • Suggest improvements to existing front-end architecture designs.
  • Utilise front-end frameworks and libraries to build scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Stay updated on trends and advancements in front-end development.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and advocate for testing strategies to maintain code quality.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve load times and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end teams to deliver cohesive interfaces.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior front-end developers.
  • Share knowledge to foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team environment.
  • Propose innovative solutions to improve user experience and functionality.
  • Work with senior leadership to discuss and validate ideas.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
Qualifications
  • Excellent skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.
  • Experience with React framework.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Knowledge of security aspects of UI development, including OWASP and CORS policy.
  • Experience with Git & GitHub version control tools and processes.
  • Experience developing mobile/web applications.
  • Experience using debugging tools relevant to the product and the ability to track down problems.
  • Experience with bug management software (e.g., JIRA).
