Jr. Network Engineer (Network and Operations) Responsibilities Assist in configuring, maintaining, and supporting network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Provide Level 2 troubleshooting for network-related issues, including connectivity failures, degraded performance, and access problems. Monitor network health and performance using appropriate tools, proactively identify irregularities, and escalate to senior engineers when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, device inventory, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Support in managing user access, IP address assignments, VLAN setups, and other network service requests. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and access control policies. Perform routine maintenance such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and system optimization. Provide support for site connectivity, LAN/WAN setups, and structured cabling requirements across offices. Respond to assigned tickets and service requests related to network operations in a timely and efficient manner. Engage in training and knowledge-building activities to enhance technical expertise and stay updated with networking trends and technologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or any related field. At least 2-4 years of experience in network administration, operations, or technical support. Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Experience in LAN/WAN environments, VPN configuration, and network troubleshooting. Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, etc.). Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Understanding of firewall rules, VPNs, and network security best practices. Basic experience with structured cabling and site connectivity setup. Proficiency in using command-line tools for diagnostics (e.g., ping, traceroute, telnet). Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent (e.g., CompTIA Network+) is an advantage. Any additional certification in network security or wireless technologies is an advantage.
