Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer who also has hands-on experience with Python. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions within the SAP ecosystem using ABAP, while also leveraging Python for data extraction, automation, and integration with external systems. You will bridge the gap between core SAP systems and new technologies, helping to optimize business processes and unlock valuable insights from data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality ABAP code for custom reports, forms, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEF) in various SAP modules.
  • Collaborate with functional teams and business users to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical specifications.
  • Utilize Python to build scripts and applications for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from SAP to other systems.
  • Integrate SAP systems with external applications and services using Python libraries (e.g., PyRFC, OData).
  • Develop automated testing scripts in Python to streamline quality assurance processes for SAP applications.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of both ABAP and Python code to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in SAP technologies, ABAP, and Python to recommend and implement new solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and runbooks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
  • Proficiency with core ABAP concepts, including ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancements.
  • Solid experience with Python programming, including familiarity with common data manipulation and integration libraries (e.g., pandas, requests).
  • Experience in integrating SAP with non-SAP systems using APIs, OData, or RFC.
  • Strong understanding of at least one core SAP module (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP HANA and ABAP for HANA.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts.
