Position Overview: The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading Switch Supply’s ingredient sourcing function, managing a team of sourcing specialists, and driving strategic procurement initiatives across global supplier markets. This role ensures the company has access to high-quality, competitively priced, and sustainably sourced ingredients while maintaining supplier trust, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing teams and end-to-end sourcing within the food, beverage, or ingredient industry . They must demonstrate strong supplier negotiation skills, market insight, and the ability to balance cost, quality, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management Develop and implement sourcing strategies for food and beverage ingredients across global markets. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers with a focus on credibility, sustainability, and compliance. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms to secure competitive advantages for the company. Build and maintain trusted long-term supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply chain performance. Leadership & Team Management Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing specialists, ensuring alignment with company goals. Allocate resources, monitor team performance, and drive continuous improvement within the sourcing function. Foster collaboration between sourcing, QA, procurement, sales, and warehouse teams. Operational Excellence Oversee sourcing processes in alignment with company policies, food safety standards, and ethical sourcing practices. Monitor ingredient availability, global market trends, and risks that could impact supply. Partner with QA to ensure all suppliers meet Switch Supply’s compliance and quality standards. Leverage systems (e.g., NetSuite or other ERP platforms) to track sourcing activities and supplier data. Business Growth Support Collaborate with Sales and R&D teams to source ingredients for new product development. Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings, value creation, and supply chain optimization. Support executive leadership in strategic initiatives, including expansion into new categories and markets. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of progressive experience in sourcing/procurement within the ingredient, food, or FMCG industry . At least 3 years in a management role , leading people and cross‑functional teams. Strong understanding of global sourcing, supplier audits, compliance, and risk management. Proven negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and strong analytical/reporting skills. Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the food industry. Key Performance Indicators: Description Target / Metric Measure consistency of suppliers in delivering ingredients on time and meeting agreed quality standards. Cost Management Track cost savings achieved through supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, and value engineering while maintaining quality. 5–10% annual cost savings vs. baseline; margin improvement of 2–3% Team Performance Evaluate effectiveness of sourcing team in terms of engagement, retention, skills, and output. ≥ 85% employee engagement score; ≤ 10% annual turnover; 100% completion of training plans Monitor adherence of suppliers to QA, food safety, and ethical sourcing standards. 100% suppliers audited annually; ≥ 95% passing rate on audits Assess ability to identify, evaluate, and successfully onboard credible and high‑value suppliers aligned with company standards. Minimum 3–5 new suppliers onboarded per year; ≥ 90% meet first‑year performance standards Cross‑Functional Impact Track sourcing team’s contribution to Sales and R&D projects (new product launches, innovation, customer requests).
