About the Role We’re looking for a Film & Series Writer who can translate the world of Netflix, its stories, talent, and genres, into compelling social content that feels fresh, local, and unmistakably Netflix PH. If you’re obsessed with pop culture, fluent in internet speak, and know how to turn titles into conversations, this role is for you. As part of the Newsroom team, you’ll shape the voice of Netflix Films & Series across platforms, crafting hooks, captions, AV scripts, and fandom-driven ideas that resonate with Filipino audiences. You’ll collaborate closely with editors, creators, and production partners to bring campaigns, talent moments, and lo‑fi concepts to life. What You’ll Do Write and develop social copy, scripts, captions, and concepts that highlight Netflix titles in a relatable and engaging way. Craft strong hooks and narrative angles across genres, helping audiences discover what to watch next. Partner with editors and community managers to build editorial formats, recurring series, and title‑led campaigns. Keep the team updated on trends, internet slang, fandom moments, and emerging content styles. Ideate and support lo‑fi, reactive, and community‑driven content that taps into cultural conversations. Collaborate with talents, influencers, and creators on interviews and social executions. Help maintain consistency of the Netflix PH voice across platforms and campaigns. Contribute to daily brainstorms, WIP sessions, and content planning with the wider newsroom. Who You Are A writer and storyteller with a strong grasp of internet culture, entertainment, and Filipino fandom communities. 3–5 years of experience in editorial writing, content creation, or social media storytelling, ideally within entertainment, media, or lifestyle. Versatile in tone, from playful social banter to sharp campaign copy. Deeply familiar with how audiences engage across platforms like Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and X. Organized, collaborative, and comfortable juggling multiple titles and tasks in a fast‑moving newsroom. Bonus Points Experience writing for entertainment, streaming, or pop culture publications. Familiarity with AV scripting, video production, and content adaptation. Experience working with creators or talent on interviews and editorial shoots.
