Responsibilities Identification of Contract Variations and submission of contractual notices to the Engineer. Prepare quantity take-offs and estimates from Construction Drawings, collate and maintain an accurate set of contemporary records in support of the Contractor’s claim submission. Coordinate with the Technical and Design Team in reviewing the variation drawings to fully capture the changes made. Coordinate with the Construction Team to assess ongoing impact of claims and submit claim updates to the Engineer on a monthly basis. Identification of EOT Claims, working with the Programme Manager to substantiate entitlement and submission of Claims to the Client. Update the Contractor's EOT Claims on a monthly basis. Attend meetings with the Engineer to present and agree the Contractor's variation and claim valuations. Input in the preparation, review and submission of the Contractor’s monthly interim payment applications to the Engineer, for the valuation of Variation work completed and Claim costs incurred. Interpret contract provisions and prepare correspondence in response to Claims raised by Sub-Contractors. Ensure timely notifications are submitted to the Engineer and accurate contemporary records are kept. Ensure compliance with ACDM JV's work health and safety policies, standards and procedures and the JV's established auditing practices. Perform other tasks assigned by the Project Director and/or Sr. Contracts and Commercial Manager. Qualifications University graduate with a BSc Civil Engineering / Mech Engineering / Elec Engineering / Architecture / Commerce / Contract Law with a Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying. Worked as a member of a Project Team with responsibility for delivering multiple packages of Works reporting to the Managing QS and have previous experience managing junior Quantity Surveyors. Commercial Awareness and In-depth understanding of contract conditions, payment terms, and interim payment processes. Have previous experience interacting with the Client; possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade counter parties. Detail orientated and Process driven, ability to manage time to strictly meet project deadlines. Excellent oral and written and communication skills in English.
