Company overview: BTI Payments Philippines, Inc., is an independent diversified payments technology provider. We are accredited by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as Operator for Payment System, and BancNet as Independent ATM deployer. We own and manage over 2,800 Pay & Go kiosks and 46 Cash Connect ATM machines nationwide. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Banktech – a leader in ATM and payment technology in Australia for 25 years, bringing decades of expertise to transactions processing and payment device management in Australia and Asia, including the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards.
- Review and validate the accuracy of financial data reflecting the organization’s performance and position.
- Manage the preparation of management reports and analyses, highlighting trends, variances, and KPIs.
- Develop and deliver presentations for executive leadership, the board of directors, and external stakeholders such as investors.
Regulatory Compliance and Tax Reporting :
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with local and international regulatory requirements, including tax laws, Philippine SEC disclosures (if applicable), and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate and review statutory filings, including income tax returns, VAT, and other compliance-related reports.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assess their impact, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Cascade updates from accounting standards and regulatory requirements to team members.
Audit and Internal Controls :
- Act as primary contact for external auditors, managing timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
- Lead internal audit processes to evaluate and strengthen internal controls and ensure reliability of financial information.
- Proactively address and resolve audit findings to drive continuous improvement in compliance practices.
Team Leadership and Development :
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of financial professionals; define roles, responsibilities, and performance goals.
- Provide regular feedback and professional development opportunities to support career growth.
Process Optimization and Technology Integration :
- Identify inefficiencies in financial reporting processes and implement streamlined workflows.
- Drive adoption of new financial reporting tools and technologies to improve automation and accuracy.
- Ensure integration and alignment of financial systems with other departments for accurate data collection and reporting.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years in financial reporting or accounting, with 1–2 years in supervisory/managerial role.
- Prior experience in public accounting or auditing is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of PFRS and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP software).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective leadership and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
