Job Summary: The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and trouble shooting AV equipment for meetings, events and presentations. This role demands a strong understanding of audio, video and lighting systems, coupled with excellent communication and technical skills. A minimum of a 2 year associate degree in a related field is essential for the position. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, video cameras, sound systems, lighting, and video conferencing tools. Collaborate with clients or event coordinators to determine AV needs. Test equipment prior to events and troubleshoot technical issues during events. Install and configure AV hardware and software in conference rooms, classrooms, or event spaces. Maintain and repair AV equipment as needed. Ensure equipment is stored properly and areas are clean and organized. Provide technical support to users before and during events or meetings. Keep up with trends and advancements in AV. Document equipment usage, maintenance, and event setups. Requirements: Associate degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant AV experience. Solid understanding of AV systems, including signal flow, projection, lighting, and sound. Proficient in AV software and tools (e.g., Zoom, WebEx, Crestron, Extron, etc.). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in tight spaces. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
