Our mission is to change how our food is produced, for good. We do this by implementing our Computer Vision-based AI platform inside food and protein production plants. This platform allows cameras to “see, learn and act” like humans do. Our platform helps improve safety (both for food and the employees who produce it), quality, yields and efficiency within production facilities. We also provide end-to-end traceability from farm to fork.

Role Overview

Lumachain is seeking Computer Vision Application Engineers to rollout AI modules in meat and processing plants globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing and optimising algorithm parameters and perception models to ensure accuracy and precision in production scenario.
  • Training and finetuning perception models via data engineering techniques, such as high-quality data extracting, edge-case data collection, data augmentation, etc.
  • Analysing and recovering AI data for production reliability.
  • Production maintenance for AI data quality and reliability.
  • Collaborating with Senior Computer Vision Engineers (AI team), Quality Assurance (QA) team, and Product Managers to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy, speed and robustness of computer vision applications.
  • Analysing and troubleshooting issues related to computer vision applications, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Staying on top of the latest advances in AI&CV processes, especially object detection and tracking.

About You

  • A Bachelor or master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (OpenCV, PyTorch, etc.).
  • An understanding of image processing, computer vision, deep neural networks (DNN) and machine learning algorithms.
  • You will be familiar with cloud services, such as Azure and AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • You have experience in object detection (e.g., YOLO) and multiple object tracking (e.g. Sort, Deep-sort, Byte-track), etc.
  • A strong sense and solid experiences in MLOps (e.g., data collection, data enhancement, and DNN model training).
