Overview AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) drives revenue and adoption from mid-market to enterprise-level customers. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you provide consultative guidance to help customers achieve value from AWS. Key Responsibilities Build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for customers. Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity. Develop trusting relationships, understanding business needs and technical challenges. Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management. Consult with partners from developers to C‑suite executives. Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers. Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS. Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and prelaunch planning. Post‑sales consultative expertise and solve problems across customers migrating workloads to the cloud. Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown‑bag sessions, etc. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a similar role (TAM, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect, service delivery manager). Expertise in two or more technical domains (system administration, networking, programming, DevOps, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, analytics). Internal enterprise or external customer‑facing experience with ability to articulate to small and large audiences. Preferred Qualifications Professional experience with AWS and/or other cloud offerings such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD.
