Our sister company is need of a Project-based Baker for a two-month project. Key Responsibilities Conceptualize and develop a variety of baked goods and desserts suited for the dessert bar theme or event concept. Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, and other sweet items according to approved recipes and presentation guidelines. Create visually appealing dessert displays and ensure the dessert bar setup aligns with the project design. Manage ingredient sourcing, inventory, and portion control to minimize waste. Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Collaborate with the culinary and event teams to ensure timely production and setup of the dessert bar. Experiment with flavors, textures, and plating to enhance the overall dessert experience. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all products. Assist in packaging, labeling, and documentation of recipes for reference or future use. Clean and organize baking and display areas before, during, and after the project. Qualifications Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or dessert specialist. Strong knowledge of dessert preparation, decoration, and display design. Creativity in developing new dessert concepts and flavor combinations. Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Knowledge of current dessert trends and presentation styles. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good teamwork and communication skills. Educational Background Diploma or certificate in Baking, Pastry Arts, or Culinary Arts preferred. Food safety certification is an advantage.
