Job Description

  1. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on farm electrical systems, controllers, and electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation and prolonged service life of machinery and equipment.
  2. Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  3. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment and systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct issues.
  4. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  5. Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
  6. Tests electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters, or clamp meters to ensure system safety and compatibility.
  7. Installs ground leads and connects power cables to equipment like motors.
  8. Places conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or concealed areas, pulling insulated wires or cables through to complete circuits.
  9. Stays on-call during off-hours and rest days to maintain electrical equipment in good condition.
  10. Attends to electrical repairs and other requirements across various farms (Nucleus, Farm 2, Farm 3, Farm 4, and Farm 5).
  11. Ensures compliance with 5S activities and ISO 9001:201 standards.
  12. Recommends and suggests improvements as part of department quality improvements (Kaizen).

Other Tasks

  1. Manages safety by monitoring electrical load to prevent exceeding maximum thresholds.
  2. Conducts routine inspections and checks equipment parameters, initiating corrective actions for abnormalities.
  3. Performs troubleshooting activities, identifying causes and corrective measures for electrical variances, consulting with Maintenance Leadman or Site Planner for unresolved issues.
  4. Complies with quality, Halal, health, and food safety policies and standards, reporting issues to authorities when necessary.
  5. Participates actively in company programs related to quality, safety, security, sustainability, CSR, and risk management.
  6. Performs other tasks as assigned by immediate superiors.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering.
  2. Experience: Preferably with at least three (3) years of related work experience.
  3. Other Requirements: Working knowledge of instrumentation technology, electrical/electronics circuit design, troubleshooting, and repair; familiarity with farm technology; knowledge of panel boards and electronic device analysis and troubleshooting.
