Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course Preferably a Certified Public Accountant With 3 to 5 years of working experience in external audit Has US Audit experience handling Construction, Real Estate, Professional Services, Manufacturing and Distribution, and/or Life Sciences / Biotechnology engagements Experience leading audits of SEC-registered companies performed under PCAOB standards Experience handling a 401(k) audit is highly desirable Experience performing integrated audits of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (SOX 404) and evaluating control deficiencies Deep working knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB Auditing Standards (AS et al.), SEC reporting requirements (RegSX/SK, Forms 10 K,10Q, S1), and COSO 2013 control framework Demonstrated proficiency in auditing complex areas of revenue recognition (ASC606), leases (ASC842), fair value measurements, share-based compensation, business combinations, impairments, and derivatives. Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB, IFRS, and/or GAAS Experience in implementing and assessing deficiencies of internal controls, and testing controls in accordance with AICPA standards Ability to utilize advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup Works well in a team as well as individually Has excellent oral and verbal communication skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up Willing to work the night shift Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and lead integrated audits of SEC registrants in accordance with PCAOB AS and firm QC policies. Perform engagement-level risk assessments, set scope & budgets, and manage multilocation/component auditors; Review and approve work papers, ensuring sufficiency for PCAOB and internal inspections; Execute and/or review testing over financial statements and ICFR assertions, emphasizing higher-risk areas (complex revenue streams, inventory costing, estimates & valuations); Evaluate identified control deficiencies; draft severity assessments (significant deficiency vs. material weakness) and remediation plans; Ensure audit evidence, documentation indexes, coaching notes, and signoffs meet PCAOB AS1215/1220 requirements; Tie out Form 10 K/10Q filings, MD&A, and earnings releases; verify consistency with audited amounts and disclosures; Consult on adoption of new accounting standards (e.g., ASC326 CECL) and disclosure rule changes (e.g., SEC SK Climaterelated disclosures); Monitor independence in accordance with SEC Rule 201; track partner rotation, Form AP filing, and preapproval of nonaudit services; Participate in PCAOB and internal firm inspections; address findings and implement remedial actions; Mentor seniors and staff; deliver timely feedback and formal evaluations.Manage multiple engagements concurrently, meeting charge-hour budgets and client deadlines; Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data analytics and emerging audit technologies; Build trusted advisor relationships with client management and audit committees; communicate audit progress, issues, and emerging risks; Stay current on PCAOB rulemaking, SEC releases, and industry trends; share insights through internal training and thought leadership.
