Our Client - Prolific Voices (prolificvoices.com) is a UK-Based personal-brand content company led by Patrick Shea-Stamford, previously a Senior Creator Manager at LinkedIn, where he worked with leading UK business figures on audience growth and creator strategy. Clients include teams and execs from major global brands such as Sport, Technology, and Entertainment, with executive clients spanning leaders like Mary Bekhait (YMU), Alex Mahon (Channel 4), and Alison Lomax (YouTube). Role Overview We’re hiring a social-first Video Editor who lives and breathes short-form. Vertical, fast-paced edits for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Expect autonomy, clear strategic direction (creative treatments), and a high bar. Work will often support senior execs and blue-chip brand teams, so quality and speed matter. What You’ll Do Turn raw footage into 9:16 TikTok/Reels/Shorts with punchy hooks, subtitles, jump-cuts, cutaways, memes, and sound. Build edits that maximize retention: tease, pattern interrupt, pacing, and strategic on-screen text. Create social-native motion graphics, title cards, L-cuts/J-cuts, and tasteful SFX/music beds. Repurpose long-form (podcasts, webinars, talks) into multiple short assets per source video. Advise on what works: format, length, captions, timing, trending sounds, and posting cadence. Maintain brand voice/visuals across multiple execs; keep templates, LUTs, and style kits tidy. Collaborate asynchronously: accept a written/visual treatment and deliver without hand-holding. Track basics (view-through, avg. watch time, comments saves/shares) and iterate edits accordingly. Manage assets and versioning; deliver clean files, subtitles (SRT), and platform-ready exports. Must-Have Qualifications 2+ years editing short-form, social-native video for TikTok/Reels/Shorts with a strong portfolio. Expert with at least one pro editor (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve) plus CapCut for social-speed workflows. Proven speed without sacrificing polish; comfortable turning around multiple edits per day. Strong motion-graphics fundamentals (kinetic text, lower-thirds, simple transitions). Excellent English (written and spoken); can distill complex talking points into clean on-screen copy. Social-first judgment: hooks, pacing, meme fluency, music/SFX, and platform nuance. Self-management: deliver from a creative treatment with minimal back-and-forth. Nice to Have Experience editing for execs/founders or “talking head” expert content. Thumbnail design (Photoshop/Figma/Canva) and basic color/audio cleanup. Understanding of LinkedIn video nuances and cross-posting best practice.
