First Sumiden Circuits, Inc. (FSCI) is the only full‑capability Flexible Printed Circuits manufacturing company in the Philippines. FSCI started as a joint venture among Sumitomo Electric Industries, Inc. (SEI, 51%), First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPHC, 40%), and Sumitomo Corporation (SC, 9%). FSCI continues to expand its operations in the Philippines by adopting new technologies. Job Requirements Graduate of any 4‑year college program. At least 1 year of experience as a Buyer. Knowledgeable in FPC manufacturing processes. Keen to detail, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess high analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Job Description Examines departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy necessary for the buying procedure. Processes all PRs to POs in a timely manner and provides copies to vendors via fax and e‑mail; obtains order confirmations/acceptances from vendors. Places orders for materials, spare parts, goods, supplies, and services from the appropriate source after securing competitive prices. Identifies all possible suppliers of materials and office supplies based on the company’s requirements and specifications. Recommends substitutes for unavailable materials and continuously sources the best suppliers to cultivate long‑term business partnerships. Acts as liaison between vendors and internal users by gathering technical details, market conditions, and latest innovations; coordinates after‑sales activities as needed. Writes and sends bid invitations or requests for proposals, receives and analyzes bids, quotes, and proposals, and awards contracts to reliable bidders with the lowest price in conformity with procurement specifications. Forwards shipping documents (e.g., Bill of Lading/AWB, Invoice, Packing List) to IMPEX for processing and clearance of goods at Customs. Negotiates prices, lead times, payment currencies, and terms that are most advantageous to the company without placing suppliers in an unfair situation.
