The Opportunity As a Facilities Engineer specializing in Mechanical Systems at Allegro MicroSystems, you will be responsible for the planning, supervision, and execution of mechanical maintenance, repair, and project activities across our facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of mechanical machinery and related support infrastructure for our Assembly, Test Center, and Probe operations. This position requires strong leadership in managing personnel and contractors, meticulous attention to detail in project oversight, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Your contributions will be vital in sustaining a robust and safe operational environment. What You Will Do Plan, assign, and supervise the work of personnel, including technicians, skilled trades, and mechanical contractors, involved in various projects, repair, and maintenance of related support facilities. Oversee the scheduling of activities, materials, and supplies for mechanical machinery repair and maintenance, as well as related internal and external services. Review, supervise, and monitor maintenance programs, contracts, and service agreements, coordinating work schedules, details, information, coverage, and warranties as applicable. Plan, organize, and assign day-to-day work schedules and activities, guiding staff on proper work procedures, methodologies, and the correct use of materials, tools, equipment, and safety protocols. Conduct assessments, studies, and evaluations of mechanical requirements, drawings, plans, layouts, schedules, and timing of activities to ensure the efficient operation of Assembly, Test Center, and Probe facilities. Perform preliminary assessments of proposed projects, including evaluation, costing, material needs, procurement, and coordination with other departments or concerned personnel. Inspect and monitor mechanical equipment, maintenance activities, and projects to ensure timeliness, correctness, completion, and compliance with approved contracts, Mechanical codes, and applicable standards. Prepare contingencies and alternative solutions during the implementation of projects and activities, meticulously analyzing details, securing approvals, and coordinating effectively with all stakeholders. Ensure support for legal requirements and adherence to all local laws, regulations, and code requirements from various regulatory and government agencies. Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes or equipment and proactively develop and implement improvements. What You Will Bring Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and holder of a valid PRC license. At least five (5) years of experience as a Facilities Engineer, preferably within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
