Responsibilities

• Obtain a deep understanding of the project client’s business processes and operations.
• Lead the requirements elicitation of new initiatives and enhancements, including delivery of artifacts (e.g., Business and Solution Modelling, Business Process Documentation, Functional/Non-Functional Specifications, etc.).
• Perform root cause analysis and work with relevant parties to troubleshoot operational issues associated with systems/tools.
• Plan appropriate solutions based on collaborative efforts with multiple user groups and stakeholders. Prepare and maintain documentation of the same.
• Assist in work prioritization of ongoing and future systems; align deliverables with the Team and Business Users in a timely manner.
• Conduct knowledge sharing/orientation and training to both Technical Teams and Business Users as needed.
• Coordinate with vendor resources for outsourced services to ensure standards in planning, execution, and reporting; clarify requirements for outsourced development services.
• Coordinate with QC Teams as required. May be involved in system integration testing and UAT.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in the Systems/Business Analysis area (e.g., BA Body of Knowledge, Business Process Modelling and Notation, SDLC, Agile). Develop the support team’s assigned deliverables.
• May prepare and execute communication plans including presentations and training on the product.

Qualifications Education and work experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology/Management; Applied Math. A graduate with minor in Accountancy is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience as a Systems and Business Analyst with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• At least 10 years of experience in data analysis and data integration.
• At least 5 years of experience in the analysis of financial data and applications.

Technical Knowledge

• Working knowledge in data warehousing processes and reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau).
• At least 5 years experience in loading data from spreadsheets, text files, etc.
• Understanding of entity-relationship diagrams and ability to read Technical Reference Manuals.
• Understanding of Financial software such as Bloomberg, S&P, Fitch and Moody’s.
• Understanding of React, Microsoft NoSQL Database schema, Terraform, for a range of application modules.
• Understanding of Python programming and SDKs.
• Understanding of basic database concepts (e.g., instance, table, tablespace, data files, database structure, indexes to optimize programs).
• Understanding of Market Data and Analytics; understanding of Risk Management and finance-related software.

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication and technical documentation skills in English.
• Strong collaborator with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Tools/Software

• Familiarity with scripting language like Python.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
