Overview

Fund Operations and Reconciliation Lead – GCash

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile internal reports against merchants’ reports (e.g., BPI, Billspay, GSave, etc.).
  • Ensure quality output through validation of reports.
  • Endorse valid adjustments to merchants/partners and/or internal team upon approval.
  • Handle customer and internal concerns through multiple channels within the agreed SLA.
  • Prepare month-end reports and schedules.
  • Check and analyze reports and records provided by internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to update and resolve issues in the assigned products.
  • Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities, discrepancies, and resolutions for documentation.
  • Generate and distribute reconciliation reports to management, summarizing findings and highlighting trends or anomalies.
  • Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve reconciliation processes, including automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial transactions and reconciliation procedures for compliance.
  • Perform additional ad hoc tasks as needed by the business.
  • Risk management — relay findings on process gaps, evaluate recommended processes and risk evaluations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, or any finance-related field.
  • Previous experience in financial reconciliation, funding, settlement processing, preferably in fintech or banking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reconciliation tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn.
  • Willing to be trained, cross-trained.
  • Willing to work during weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Knowledge of Excel macros is a plus.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and conduct meetings with internal or external stakeholders.
