We are seeking a Team Lead, Fund Acctng to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Work flow distribution and the effective use of resources within the team Ensuring accurate completion of NAVs for multiple Unit Trusts and common Investment Funds Preparing financial statements and reports for a designated group of funds Monitoring monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and ensuring accuracy of reports prepared for regulatory agencies Providing on the job technical training and coaching for all team members and briefing staff regularly on issues relating to work carried out by the team and new initiatives Organizing the work of the team, assigning tasks, setting short-term priorities, monitoring all activities and ensuring timely and accurate completion of the work Ensuring all procedures are kept up to date and are adhered to on a daily basis Assisting the Team Manager in establishing goals and objectives for the team Generating process and system enhancement ideas and coordinating the introduction of these changes with supporting documented procedures Conducting performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions The ideal candidate will have: Excellent oral and written communication skills Analytical and problem solving skills Leadership and organizational skills Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines, escalating issues where necessary Good team player, self-starter, flexible, with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision In terms of experience, we are looking for: A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience Experience of Fund Accounting Supervisory experience is desirable Northern Trust is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
