Job Description Address tax issues and handle tax compliance (both Local and National Taxes). Handle BIR, LGU, and Customs audits and permit requirements. Manage Special Projects, Administrative tasks, and MS Governance. The main responsibilities include: Review, strategize, and prepare annual RPT payments, and verify deficiency RPT assessments. Prepare computations and reports on local tax issues. Coordinate with local government officials on required documents/data and advocate the company's tax position. Maintain a monitoring/database of RPT payments and status per local government unit. Prepare, plan, strategize, file, and pay Local Business Tax, and advocate the company's position. The MS Governance function will mainly include: Liaising between the MS team and different departments. Monitoring and reviewing the team's progress. Administrative functions include: Representing the company for different tax undertakings. Developing plans/initiatives to improve local tax processes, such as data cleanup of property registration files. Tax advisory and special projects include: Assisting in tax impact assessment and structuring for corporate reorganizations and strategies. Supporting tax planning initiatives, such as contract drafting for sales, purchases, and business dealings. Processing Certificate Authorizing Registration (CAR). Conducting tax due diligence. Providing general taxation advice. Assisting in BIR, LGU, and customs audits. Preparing and reviewing tax returns.
