We are seeking aLead Tax Accountant to join our growing firm and support the seamless transition of corporate tax clients, primarily automotive service franchise business owners from a recent acquisition. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team committed to client retention and growth, with financial incentives tied to performance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced with tax planning strategies for small business owners, eager to grow professionally, and capable of handling complex tax preparation tasks while contributing to the firm's expansion.

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm EST / Follows CO holidays

Qualifications

  • Education: MS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate tax preparation (experience with franchise and/or construction businesses is a plus).
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with tax and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, Drake).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tax planning for clients. Prepare and file corporate tax returns (1120, 990), income tax return (1040) for related business clients and payroll tax filings (941).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with the account management team to provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries.
  • Proactively support subscribed bookkeeping clients to align with client goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax-related activities.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to corporate clients.
