Full Stack WordPress Developer Intern (IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering)

Location: Remote

This is a remote internship role in a web development and design environment. We are seeking a Full Stack WordPress Developer Intern with UI & UX design skills to join our dynamic team. You will work on various WordPress projects, implement UI/UX design principles, and learn about popular plugins and themes, including Elementor.

Responsibilities
  • WordPress Development: Assist in developing WordPress websites that are responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing. Collaborate with senior developers to implement custom functionalities and integrations. Troubleshoot and debug issues during development.
  • UI & UX Design: Create and improve user interfaces to enhance the overall user experience. Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Ensure designs align with branding and are user-friendly.
  • Elementor Expertise: Use Elementor to create visually engaging pages. Customize and style Elementor elements to match design requirements. Optimize templates and layouts for performance.
  • WordPress Plugins and Themes: Work with various plugins and themes, making customizations as needed. Stay updated with WordPress development trends and best practices. Assist in selecting and integrating suitable themes and plugins based on project requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (content creators, SEO specialists, project managers) to deliver cohesive projects. Participate in brainstorming and contribute to design and functionality decisions.
Requirements
  • Passion for web development and design with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.
  • Some knowledge of UI and UX design principles.
  • Experience with Elementor or other page builders is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing websites.
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in Internship/Practicum in the Philippines. Fully remote work setup; interns should have their own laptop and internet connection.
