Role Description

This role is crucial for increasing our SEO team's capacity. You will be working on a wide variety of SEO campaigns (Local, eCommerce, B2B, B2C) under the supervision of SEO Specialists.

Responsibilities & Duties:

SEO Implementation & Support

• Execute basic on-page SEO optimisations (URLs, Meta Titles, Meta Descriptions, H tags) under supervision
• Assist with content optimisation based on keyword research provided by specialists
• Support technical SEO implementations including schema markup and basic website updates
• Assist with image optimisation and alt-tag implementation

Data Collection & Reporting

• Monitor clients' ranking reports using rank tracking software and flag significant changes
• Collect and compile data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools
• Assist in creating client reports and data visualisation dashboards
• Support monthly reporting processes and presentation preparation

Research & Analysis Support

• Conduct initial keyword research and competitor analysis under guidance
• Gather content ideas and topics for client blog calendars
• Research potential link-building opportunities and compile prospect lists
• Assist with technical SEO audit data collection and documentation

Project Cooridination & Administration

• Manage SEO project timelines in Basecamp and update task progress
• Organise client assets, login credentials, and project documentation

Quality Assurance

• Review completed SEO work before client delivery to ensure accuracy
• Verify that SEO recommendations have been properly implemented
• Maintain organised documentation of all client work and processes
• Follow established quality control procedures

Client Support

• Support client onboarding processes and asset collection
• Prepare briefing documents for client calls and meetings

Professional Development

• Actively participate in SEO training programs and team knowledge sharing
• Stay updated with basic SEO trends and Google algorithm changes
• Work toward managing own portfolio of clients under supervision
• Develop skills in advanced SEO tools and methodologies

Qualifications

• 1-2 years SEO experience or equivalent digital marketing experience
• Basic WordPress experience and understanding of CMS functionality
• Foundational knowledge of SEO principles (URLs, meta tags, content optimisation)
• Familiarity with SEO tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, basic experience with SEMRush or Ahrefs preferred
• Project management experience: Basecamp or similar project management tools
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently while following established processes and procedures

Bonus Skills

• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for simple website modifications
• Experience with additional SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Google Data Studio, link building tools
• Content creation experience for blogs and web copy
• Basic graphic design skills for simple report formatting
• Understanding of conversion optimisation principles
• Experience working in an agency environment
• Google Analytics certification or similar digital marketing credentials
