Responsibilities Responsible for work flow distribution and the effective use of resources within the team Ensure the accurate completion of NAVs for multiple Unit Trusts and common Investment Funds Prepare financial statements and reports for a designated group of funds Monitor monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and ensure accuracy of reports prepared for regulatory agencies Provide on-the-job technical training and coaching for all team members; brief staff on issues related to the team's work and new initiatives Organize the work of the team, assign tasks, set short-term priorities, monitor activities, and ensure timely and accurate completion Ensure all procedures are up to date and adhered to on a daily basis Assist the Team Manager in establishing goals and objectives for the team Generate process and system enhancement ideas and coordinate the introduction of changes with supporting procedures Conduct performance management, career development processes, staffing and disciplinary actions as needed Knowledge and Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact confidently with internal and external counterparties Analytical and problem-solving abilities Leadership and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff Ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and escalate issues when necessary Team player, self-starter, flexible, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision Experience and Qualifications A college or university degree and/or relevant work experience Experience in Fund Accounting is required Supervisory experience is desirable Working With Us As a Northern Trust partner, you will experience a flexible and collaborative work culture and a company committed to helping the communities we serve.
