Responsibilities
  • Responsible for work flow distribution and the effective use of resources within the team
  • Ensure the accurate completion of NAVs for multiple Unit Trusts and common Investment Funds
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for a designated group of funds
  • Monitor monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and ensure accuracy of reports prepared for regulatory agencies
  • Provide on-the-job technical training and coaching for all team members; brief staff on issues related to the team's work and new initiatives
  • Organize the work of the team, assign tasks, set short-term priorities, monitor activities, and ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Ensure all procedures are up to date and adhered to on a daily basis
  • Assist the Team Manager in establishing goals and objectives for the team
  • Generate process and system enhancement ideas and coordinate the introduction of changes with supporting procedures
  • Conduct performance management, career development processes, staffing and disciplinary actions as needed
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact confidently with internal and external counterparties
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff
  • Ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Team player, self-starter, flexible, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Experience and Qualifications
  • A college or university degree and/or relevant work experience
  • Experience in Fund Accounting is required
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
