Overview DATA ANALYST Your role and work environment You will be a Data Analyst assigned to support Global KYC, a functionally steered organization that aims to maintain and improve ING’s AML/Financial Economic Crime (FEC) risk management through standardized guidance, processes, technology and shared operational processing. The CDD and KYC Control domain ensures ING has a state-of-the-art CDD practice and effective management of CDD risk and KYC risk across countries, aligning policies and operations globally. The CDD Business Intelligence & Operational Management lead is responsible for CDD service management, management information and a long-term data vision and strategy. Locally you are part of the Regulatory Operations functional domain, reporting to the local CDD BI&O leads for daily activities and priorities. You will be assigned to a key focus area across the different CDD Wholesale Banking or CDD Retail Banking segments. As a Data Analyst you’ll be responsible for activities that support the creation of dashboards and reports and the analysis of data to support decision making. There will also be involvement in selective scope supporting some key KYC operational processes. You work in an area where data and operations converge and play a key role in supporting the AML/KYC strategy and execution, as well as ING’s global data management strategy by providing business insights through data analysis across the bank. Your key responsibilities and scope of work are described below. Responsibilities Management information on production, quality, recruitment pipeline, realization of efficiency ambitions, centralization to enable operational management and steering Operational management & steering information as input to (senior) management Capacity planning for ING Hubs locations and for in-country operations Provide central support to various KYC processes, including but not limited to: Event Driven Review, offboarding initiation, Access management, standalone process initiation Define & execute long term vision and approach (including strategic operational MI solutions) for shared cockpit servicing all client types and segments to move away from tactical solutions (Excel/Access based reporting) into a robust, advanced, future-proof reporting solution Drive (fact-based) decision making on all levels (strategical, tactical, and operational) by performing analysis from an ING-wide perspective and providing scenarios to decision makers Analyze complex data issues that go beyond squad and/or tribe boundaries, contributing to designing complete solutions Collect relevant data, analyze and report; clean, process and correlate raw data, recognizing patterns Interpret data, analyze results and deliver substantiated data analyses using standard techniques and tools to improve business decisions or data quality Work with large amounts of data, perform data-mining, in-depth analysis, and validation by combining and interpreting data Collaborate with different functional teams to plan and execute special projects or initiatives that promote effectiveness and efficiency We are looking for an energetic and driven expert with passion for data management and strong analytical capabilities who uses state-of-the-art methods for data analysis. You have integral, domain-exceeding knowledge of Data Analysis in one or more areas of the banking business. You are an excellent communicator and able to build bridges between different stakeholders, convincingly proposing ideas and being a team player to reach broad agreement on the path forward. You contribute to delivering standardized, uniform and fully adapted solutions to complex business issues and processes. Skills and qualifications Requirements / Skillset You have a college degree in e.g. Mathematics, Computer/Data Science, Information Management or Statistics You have integral, cross-domain knowledge and experience Attention to detail: data is precise; you are vigilant in your analysis to reach correct conclusions You are a strong communicator able to present analyses clearly Excellent English written and verbal communication skills You have knowledge of and experience in Data Analysis in the financial services industry You can create impactful data stories via reports and/or dashboards in Power BI or Cognos Basic skills in Python or R are good to have You actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends into applicable knowledge You take responsibility to get the work done You actively ask for help and feedback and are not afraid to give feedback You easily adapt to a new environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
