Responsibilities

  • Review vendor invoices to ensure compliance with tax and reporting requirements (e.g., Invoices are BIR compliant; accounting/coding of transactions is proper and consistent).
  • Collate and compile documents for valid recharging of transactions to customers.
  • Update and complete tax compliance substantiation by ensuring that vendors’ ORs, company-issued certificates of tax withheld, customer-issued certificates of tax withheld, and company-issued ORs are intact and valid.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual) for BIR, BOI, and BSP.
  • Assist FM with support requirements for company stakeholders (e.g., Government/Tax Authorities audits, shareholder inquiries, vendor reconciliations, etc.).
  • Monitor government pronouncements/rulings that could affect the company’s tax compliance.
  • Coordinate with government offices for visits/liaison.
  • Administer tax compliance function, ensuring that the company’s tax filings and payments are timely, accurate, and compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure business operations and procedures align with statutory regulations and internal/external policies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare monthly cost recharge reports to customers, with supporting documents.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on tax submissions, inquiries, advisory matters, and audits or inspections.
  • Maintain and ensure proper documentation for tax records and tax correspondences.
  • Monitor and assess tax updates and identify areas of improvement for the company’s operations.
