AU Accountant

Position Title: AU Accountant Job Type:Full-time Work Set-up: Work From Home Schedule: Morning Shift Salary: Starting from Php75,000 Holidays: QLD AU Holidays We are looking for proven and skilled AU Accountant to join our team and support one of our Australian-based accounting clients. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting duties, focusing on reconciling accounts and invoicing under the guidance of the business owner, who is a senior accountant. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, some exposure to Australian tax practices, and a strong eye for detail. The right candidate will be dependable, process-driven, and committed to working within well-defined systems and workflows. JOB DESCRIPTION AS AN AU ACCOUNTANT Your Responsibilities as an AU Accountant: Perform reconciliations and invoicing work accurately and on time. Support the business owner by handling the groundwork of financial processes. Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and assist with payroll. Prepare client reports and financial summaries as instructed. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Oversee and manage the general ledger accounting functions. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including those conducted by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Prepare and file Business Activity Statements (BAS) and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Handle GST, PAYG, FBT, and other regulatory filings as required. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees in compliance with Fair Work Australia regulations. Manage employee benefit plans and related accounting. Oversee/ manage accounts payable and Accounts receivable Ensure timely processing of invoices and collections. Qualifications as an AU Accountant: Atleast 3 years of proven work experience working within Australian Accounting and Tax practice Hiighly experience with bookkeeping including reconciliations, invoicing, and general accounting tasks. Willingness to be trained in NDIS invoicing processes. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently and accurately. Experience with tools like Xero, XPM, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Practice Ignition is strongly preferred. Excellent MS Excel Skills and experience Experience with Active Campaign CRM is highly desirable Strong communication skills and attention to detail are crucial. Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team. Transparent and honest in communication with a strong sense of accountability.
