Overview

Henedroit Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior AU Tax Accountant with expertise in Australian taxation laws to join our team. This role involves managing complex tax compliance tasks, providing strategic tax advice, and ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at navigating Australian tax frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) guidelines.
  • Ensure timely filing and lodgment of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other tax obligations.
  • Conduct tax research and provide advisory support on tax planning and minimization strategies.
  • Assist in managing audits, responding to tax queries, and liaising with ATO and other regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze financial data to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
  • Provide guidance on payroll tax, fringe benefits tax (FBT), and superannuation obligations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Australian tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Support junior tax accountants through mentorship and technical guidance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CA, or relevant tax certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Australian taxation.
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax, income tax, and indirect taxes (GST, PAYG, FBT).
  • Proficiency in tax software such as Xero Tax, MYOB, or HandiTax.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
