Role Overview We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Accountant to ensure booking accuracy across e-commerce platforms and maintain compliance with international tax regulations. This critical role focuses on matching e-channel settlements to accounting records, verifying VAT/BIR/EU filings, and monitoring financial trends to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for reconciling e-channel transactions with accounting records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Who we need? Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. With at least 3 years of experience handling of accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations, VAT). With understanding of VAT regulations for EU cross-border sales. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay) and Odoo. Skills Proficiency in Excel (formulas, data organization, Pivot Tables). Basic understanding of accounting software (Odoo preferred). Ability to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data. E-Channel Settlement Reconciliation Amazon Settlement Matching: Match Amazon settlements to accounting records in Odoo with 100% accuracy. Reconcile e-channel transactions with bank transfers (e.g., ING, DSB) to ensure complete alignment. Error Identification: Identify and resolve discrepancies between platform reports and accounting entries. Document reconciliation processes and maintain audit-ready records. 2. Compliance & Filing Accuracy VAT & BIR Compliance: Verify VAT filings for EU cross-border sales and ensure alignment with transaction data. Assist with BIR reports (1601C, 2550Q) to ensure accurate reporting and timely submissions. EU Reporting: Ensure compliance with EU reporting requirements for e-commerce transactions. Validate tax grids and fiscal positions for international sales. 3. Financial Trend Monitoring Revenue vs. Cost Analysis: Monitor weekly revenue vs. cost trends across all sales channels. Flag significant variances for senior accountants to investigate. Forecast Support: Assist with payment forecasting by tracking pending transactions and reconciling discrepancies. Update bank balance records for weekly consolidated forecasts. 4. Process Improvement Quality Assurance: Implement QA checks to prevent recurring reconciliation errors. Develop standardized reconciliation templates for consistent execution. Documentation: Maintain organized records of reconciliation processes for audit readiness.
