SAP S4 Group Reporting (Functional Consultant) An SAP S/4 Group Reporting (Functional Consultant) is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP's financial consolidation solution. Key duties include translating business requirements into system design, configuring consolidation processes (like intercompany eliminations and currency translation), ensuring data accuracy, and integrating with other SAP modules and tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). They act as a liaison between finance stakeholders and technical teams, provide expert guidance, and manage project deliverables. Key responsibilities Implementation and configuration: Lead the design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting to meet business needs, including setting up consolidation units, ownership structures, and reclassification and elimination rules. Requirement analysis: Gather and analyze business requirements related to financial consolidation, multi-GAAP reporting, and statutory reporting. Process management: Design and implement key consolidation functionalities such as intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation of investments (COI). Data management: Manage data loads, validate data, and ensure seamless data integration between the universal journal (ACDOCA) and the group reporting table (ACDOCU). Reporting: Configure and design reporting hierarchies and Fiori-based reporting tools, and integrate with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced analytics. Collaboration and support: Collaborate with finance and IT teams, prepare end-user documentation and training, and provide ongoing end-user support and troubleshooting. Testing: Develop and execute test plans, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing), to validate that the system meets business requirements. Required skills and qualifications Proven experience in finance and accounting, particularly with SAP planning and consolidation solutions like Group Reporting or BPC. Deep understanding of financial consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation of investments. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related tables (ACDOCA). Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and analytics is often preferred. Experience with various methods of data collection and validation. Ability to manage projects, estimate efforts, identify risks, and provide leadership to a team. Excellent communication and client‑facing skills. A background in finance (like a CA) or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is often required.
