Metro Manila Philippines Altitude Games Full time

As a 2D Artist you will be responsible for creating art that elevates the production values of our games so they shine through in the competitive mobile market.

You will report to the Art Director and collaborate across disciplines (art, design, and engineering) to deliver an exceptional gaming experience to our players.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a variety of high quality digital art assets for our games, from concept through to implementation.

    • Eg. characters, backgrounds, icons, logos, textures etc.

  • Create art that is consistent with the established art style of the projects.

  • Apply revisions and feedback from the Art Director and Lead Artists.

  • Ensure that assets are optimized for best performance.

  • Implement art assets into the relevant prefabs, animation clips and scenes of the Unity projects.

  • Abide by the established processes of the production pipeline such as

    • Folder structure and file naming conventions.

    • Approval of commits to the Unity project

    • Uploading work to the shared drive.

    • Manage time effectively across your workload and ask for assistance if needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years working as a digital artist.

  • 2+ years working in the games industry.

  • Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates a keen sense of style , aesthetics and creativity .

  • Strong art foundation skills (composition, proportions, balance, lighting, colour etc.).

  • Worked on a mobile game or worked on a game with stylised art common for mobile games.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse and dispersed team.

  • A collaborative mindset. Confidence in your own ideas but also the ability to embrace input from others with the goal of achieving the best outcomes.

  • High proficiency with the following software:

    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with the following types of software:

    • Unity (2022 or higher)

    • GitHub

    • Project management (eg. Jira)

    • 3D (Blender)

  • Animation skills.

  • Worked on at least one game or app that is currently on the app stores or online.

  • Working remotely with minimal supervision.
