Job Description :

The UK and Ireland Finance team is going through an exciting period of change and transformation. As a team we operate cross jurisdictionally looking after several different entities, across the fund services, corporate services and compliance services which we offer in the IQ-EQ Group. A number of these entities are regulated in their respective jurisdictions. This role will be part of our Manila Finance team, who support the UK&I Cluster, and others, in the global IQ-EQ Group.

We are looking for a new Financial Accountant to join our team. The role will be incredibly varied, from taking ownership of the month end close (and associated reporting) from start to finish, to assisting with several different projects and helping the team to become fit for the future. This individual will be expected to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and be adaptable and proactive in their work approach to assist with the wider projects and deliverables of the team.

Responsibilities

• As a financial accountant, you will play a key part in ensuring that our monthly and other reporting deadlines are met. This will involve completing the detailed month end postings, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and related tasks.
• This individual would be expected to be the main contact for the year end audit process, alongside assisting with the other reporting requirements which we have.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and control of monthly management information
• Preparation of annual financial statements and management of the year end audit process
• Assisting with the preparation of regulatory returns
• Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax and any other relevant regulatory returns
• Driving the integration of a newly acquired Group into the IQ-EQ Group
• Assisting the Finance team with integrations of new acquisitions
• Driving process improvement and efficiencies across all of the finance activities
• Liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally
• Assisting and taking the lead on various project work as required

Qualifications

• Must Have
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• A minimum of 2 years accounting experience in a similar role
• Strong grasp and understanding of financial controls and best practice
• Experience in external audit, accounts payable, payment functions, month end closing, and monthly reporting
• Exposure in Global Finance Environment is an advantage
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong Excel skills with financial modelling experience
• Ability to summarize findings and conclusions for senior management and board level audience
• Ability to work independently and as part of the wider team
• Willing to attend onsite training and onboarding for the first three months
• This position is open to Philippine citizens

Nice to Have

• Experience in a global finance environment with UK Companies exposure

Shift Schedule

• Morning or APAC

Our current work setup is Hybrid Work from Home; in-office presence required 2 to 3 days a week. A stable internet connection (DSL/Fiber with at least 25 Mbps) is required.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze current customer service processes and identify gaps or defects to improve overall effectiveness
• Define and recommend process improvements to meet current and future customer service needs/standards
• Quality analyst will ensure that customer needs are being met by current processes (e.g., review recorded agent conversations, identify opportunities for improvement)
• Ensure appropriate usage of available resources by agents to respond to callers
• Work directly with agents/staff to improve overall performance
• Perform quality audits and analyze results to determine process improvement opportunities
• Review and monitor results of appeals work and escalate as necessary
• Demonstrate understanding of applicable Customer Service Quality requirements/guidelines
• Adhere to established quality processes, procedures, requirements and guidelines
• Define and document quality standards
• Support applicable customer service processes and groups

Qualifications :

• 1-4 years’ experience as a Quality Analyst in a BPO
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Background in FinTech or any Financial program
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures
• Willing to work night shift
