Global Employment & Labor Law (GELL) Associate

Overview

Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group provides clients with one-stop domestic and international employment law counseling and litigation representation. We assist multinational companies with international and domestic labor and employment issues, from expansion into or exit from new jurisdictions to deploying and managing a global workforce, and defending them in state and federal court. We translate the international landscape for in-house counsel and managers with global responsibilities and lead cross-border, multi-disciplinary employment projects providing commercially practical support for global operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross-border employment issues, including transactions.
  • Support employment counseling with a focus on international employment law; collaborate in a global team environment.
  • Assist with projects that involve deploying and managing a global workforce and related litigation support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic credentials from a top law school and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills.
  • Top-tier law firm experience in an employment practice preferred; recent law graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to function smoothly in a global team with culturally diverse members.
  • Admitted and in good standing as a member of the Bar in the state of employment; if a recent graduate, must demonstrate intent to sit for the bar exam.
  • Candidate should include a writing sample, cover letter, transcripts and resume with the application.
  • Background in international employment law or employment counseling is desirable.
Details
  • Location: Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines; salary (California and Chicago offices) $225,000 per year.
