We have several key relationships supporting Telstra business operations to corporate leadership, our customers, our people and shareholders.We’ve recently gone Agile in Strategy & Finance so that we can better prioritise our work, flow the right resources to that work, develop our people and ultimately support our business stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for our customers and our shareholders. This role sits within our Financial Management Chapter Area, a ~450 strong global team of financial professionals who provide business partnering and FP&A services to missions across the organisation.**About The Role*** As a **Finance Specialist (CPA/CA Qualified)**, you will play a crucial role in driving financial outcomes, maintaining commercial discipline, and implementing operational improvements across customer segments.* You will deliver financial management expertise and analysis to support the Telstra’s financial strategic direction and enable the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on financial performance (including profitability, expense and cash) of Telstra and its functional units.* **Important note:** the role will be based in our office in **Makati City, Metro Manila** and will be in a **HYBRID** working environment.**What We Offer*** Flex appeal: choose where, when and how you work* Performance-related pay* Access to thousands of learning programs so you can level-up* Global presence across 22 countries; opportunities to work where we do business.* Medical insurance coverage for you and your loved ones.**What You’ll Do**This is how you'll bring the purpose of your role to life:* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on financial matters.* Month-End Tasks: Execute month-end financial processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.* Forecasting: Develop accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation.* Financial Analysis: Analyse historical and current financial data to assess the segment’s financial health and identify trends.* Supporting Business Initiatives: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business initiatives.* Finance Operational Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and efficiency.* Reporting: Prepare clear and concise financial reports for management and other relevant stakeholders.**About You**To be successful in the role, you should have:* **CPA, CMA, or CA fully qualified*** Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting or related course* Proven experience in **Finance Management** (i.e., forecasting, analysis, reporting, and variance)* Experience in **management accounting**: to support business partnership, technical accounting, and accounting compliance* Desire to build leadership skills with a genuine commitment to building capabilities* Initiative: A proactive mindset to address issues related to operational performance and financial trajectory.* Autonomy and Collaboration: the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling and data-backed decision-making.* Stakeholder management and presentation skills* Passion for numbers and improving financial performanceHighly desirable qualification(s)* Background in **SAP*** **Big 4 experience*** Experience in **revenue management*** **IFRS15** knowledgeWhen you join our team, you become part of a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone is respected, valued and celebrated.
