Role Description We are seeking a qualified QS Electrical Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs for electrical works, as well as supporting project cost control, variation evaluations, and tender documentation. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review electrical quantity take-offs and bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications. Conduct cost estimation, budget preparation, and value engineering for electrical systems. Evaluate contractor claims, variation orders, and progress payments. Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure cost accuracy and alignment with project schedules. Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and cost analysis reports. Maintain and update cost data, material prices, and project records. Ensure all electrical works comply with technical standards and project specifications. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Licensed Electrical Engineer preferred). 2–5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Estimation, or Project Cost Control for electrical systems. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX, or similar). Knowledge of electrical materials, local codes, and construction methods. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Skills Experience in MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection) quantity surveying. Familiarity with FIDIC or local construction contract standards.
