Overview

The Accounting & Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in managing end-to-end payroll processing while also supporting general accounting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely salary computations, compliance with statutory requirements, and proper financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary computation, deductions, overtime, and benefits.
  • Handle government remittances and compliance with statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Prepare and record payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of payroll and financial information.
  • Utilize payroll or accounting software for efficient processing and reporting.
  • Support general accounting tasks as needed, including account reconciliations and financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in both payroll processing and general accounting
  • Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
  • Proficiency in payroll and accounting software.
  • High integrity in handling sensitive employee and company information.

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: General Manager and President
  • Works closely with: Controller HR (for payroll processing), and Operations Management.
Working Conditions
  • Office-based, Mid or Night Shift, with flexibility for extended hours during financial closing periods.
  • May require coordination with external auditors, tax consultants, and vendors.
