ROLE OVERVIEW This role offers the opportunity to help build an Outsourced Accounting Team, working with a portfolio of UK clients across bookkeeping, client support, month-end reporting, and statutory accounting. With a strong focus on report-driven bookkeeping, experience with Xero (ideally Xero Advisor certified) will be highly beneficial. Joining a tech-focused firm, you’ll combine accounting expertise with modern systems and client-facing professionalism. The position is ideal for someone looking to strengthen technical skills while expanding commercial accounting experience within a CFO advisory-driven practice. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In-Month Accounting (on Xero) Bank reconciliations and supplier bill processing Preparing supplier payment runs and customer invoicing Credit control and managing customer accounts mailboxes (email queries, information processing, and first-line support) Month-End Accounting (on Xero) Performing full month-end checks and reconciliations Assisting with client management reports, analyses for management packs, and commentary inputs Assisting CFO with Advisory Services Supporting budgeting and cashflow forecasting through data collection and analysis from Xero Assisting with KPI analysis sheets and ad hoc financial data analysis Assisting with UK payroll processing, statutory accounts (FRS 102), and tax returns under the guidance of the Head of Accounting (all training provided to bring any candidates with lower experience of above to desired level) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping and accounting experience in a commercial environment, with a strong preference for experience working with UK firms Proficiency in Xero, Hubdoc, and Google Suite is required Experience with Karbon Practice Management, Futrli Advisor, Capitalise, Nook, and Iris Elements is an advantage Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Critical thinking and independent decision-making skills Exceptional attention to detail Proven ability to work remotely, contribute effectively to a team, follow instructions, and take responsibility and accountability for outputs ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Reliable, stable and high-speed internet A dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions, ensuring confidentiality and optimal focus on tasks DESCRIPTION OF IDEAL CANDIDATE Calm, Capable & Organised : You bring clarity and structure to complex tasks, staying composed under pressure while keeping priorities in order.
