Location: 100% Remote, US Time (EST) Employment Type: Full-time About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead to take ownership of end-to-end testing for their complex web and backend systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on QA professional with deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, capable of leading quality initiatives, defining QA processes, and ensuring high‑quality releases across web, SaaS, and backend applications. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end QA for web and backend systems, ensuring robustness, reliability, and performance. Design, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test suites (UI, API, regression). Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or TestCafe. Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to identify issues, improve workflows, and ensure high‑quality releases. Investigate production issues, reproduce bugs, and partner with developers to determine root causes. Own and enforce QA processes and best practices, driving continuous improvement across teams. Define, track, and report quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release readiness. Technical Requirements 7+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role. Strong experience in manual and automated testing for web and SaaS products. Hands‑on expertise with at least one automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe). Experience in RESTful API testing (Postman, Newman, or similar). Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong familiarity with SQL and backend data validation. Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Linear) and test management tools. Advantageous: Experience in travel tech, booking systems, fintech workflows, or payment systems.
