The company

Our client is trumpet , a diverse group of ambitious people who have come together to transform the world of sales and GTM. Trumpet is helping 5,000+ companies including Oyster, Coupa and Cognism to centralise their buyer journeys and close deals faster with digital sales rooms called Pods, a type of Interactive and collaborative spaces powered by actionable insights.

Despite the availability of newer tools, we still use outdated methods like Powerpoint and PDFs for sales. Sales cycles are longer, buyer journeys are more complex, and buyer behavior is changing rapidly. Trumpet is at the forefront of digital transformation in B2B sales, addressing the asynchronous buyer journey, which represents 95% of the buyer\'s journey without a salesperson.

We are founded by two serial entrepreneurs and ex Hotjar sales leader, Rory Sadler, and have been backed by some of the most prominent tech investors and operators in the world. We are on the cusp of rapid growth, building a world changing product and brand and we’d love you to come on the journey with us.

Role overview

We’re looking for our newest band member, a Product Engineer - Someone who will be integral to supporting the development of trumpet with their years of expertise, passion for the software development craft, and bring a Product Engineer mindset.

There will be a focus on taking ownership over the product and the projects you build. You\'ll contribute both by coding and helping elevate our development practices and improve our product with your expertise.

• You have a background in startups and are driven to solve customer problems by quickly shipping high quality code to the platform.
• You are passionate about taking full ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities on your own while communicating effectively with the team about progress and estimations.
• You are adept at transforming product designs into functional and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces, and have a passion for delighting customers with a beautiful product.
• You are committed to delivering code that balances beauty and functionality, focusing on simplicity and user needs over complexity.
• You are keen to contribute to the iterative development process, responsive to feedback, and dedicated to continual improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine features with a cross functional team across the full stack, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and business impact.
• Uphold and improve coding standards and streamline deployment processes.

Requirements

To be successful at trumpet, you will need to have extensive experience in the following areas

• React, Next.js, and TypeScript (3+ years) including familiarity with react-query
• Experience with NoSQL databases databases
• Working with public cloud services is like second nature to you
• You have worked with Redis and cloud based queue systems
• You have worked with product designers and are capable of converting designs from tools like Figma into high-quality React components
• You have experience collaborating closely with product managers to break down project requirements into actionable, iterative steps
• Security is massively important to you and you take care to implement best practices
• You believe in iterative development, release, get feedback, and improvement to take a project from initial requirements to release
• Testing is at the heart of your development philosophy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software.

Nice to have

• You are analytical and like to find interesting trends in data.
• You have an interest in LLMs and explored projects utilizing OpenAI API’s or similar
• Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Ability to design and implement ML models
