Student Researcher (Doubao (Seed) - Foundation Model - Vision Generative AI) - 2025 Start (PhD) Location: San Jose Team: Technology Employment Type: Intern Job Code: A Responsibilities Conduct cutting‑edge research and development in computer vision and machine learning, especially in generative AI and data‑centric research. Solve unique, large‑scale, highly complex technical problems. Enhance multimodal understanding and reasoning (images and texts etc.) throughout the development process, encompassing data acquisition, model evaluation, pre‑training, SFT, to bolster overall performance. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Research experience in multi‑modality understanding/generation and related topics. Publications in top‑tier venues such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, EMNLP, ACL, COLING, etc. Highly competent in algorithms and programming; strong coding skills in Python and popular deep learning frameworks. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. Preferred Qualifications Work and collaborate well with team members. Ability to work independently; strong communication skills. Experience in large‑scale data processing and model training. Experience in multi‑modality models. Experience in diffusion models is a plus. Job Information The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60 - $60. Benefits Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
