Job Title: Red Team Specialist Department: Cybersecurity / Information Security Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Location: One E-Com Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Red Team Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on advanced adversarial simulation exercises to assess and improve the organization’s cyber defense capabilities. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to emulate sophisticated threat actors to uncover vulnerabilities across people, processes, and technology. Key Responsibilities Design and Execute Red Team Exercises Develop realistic attack scenarios based on threat intelligence and organizational risk profile. Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs), insider threats, and blended attack vectors. Coordinate with Blue Team counterparts for collaborative exercises. Threat Emulation and Adversary Simulation Use tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) aligned with MITRE ATT&CK, TIBER-EU, and other frameworks. Conduct stealthy operations to test detection and response capabilities. Reporting and Recommendations Document findings, attack paths, and exploited vulnerabilities. Provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture. Present results to technical and executive stakeholders. Tool Development and Automation Build or customize offensive security tools and scripts. Maintain a lab environment for testing and training. Continuous Improvement Stay current with emerging threats, techniques, and red teaming methodologies. Contribute to threat modeling, tabletop exercises, and security awareness programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in offensive security, penetration testing, or red teaming. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, GIAC Red Team, or equivalent. Deep understanding of Windows/Linux internals, Active Directory, cloud platforms, and network protocols. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash). Familiarity with C2 frameworks (e.g., Cobalt Strike, Mythic, Sliver). Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills. Preferred Skills Experience with threat intelligence integration. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, TIBER-EU).
