Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees the entire production and logistics operations of the coconut processing facility — from raw coconut sourcing to finished goods distribution and export. This role ensures operational efficiency, supply chain reliability, cost control, and adherence to quality and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations & Production Management Supervise daily plant operations including coconut processing, oil extraction, drying, packaging, and storage. Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet local and export demands. Implement operational KPIs focusing on production output, yield, quality, and on-time delivery. Monitor machine utilization, preventive maintenance, and process improvement initiatives. 2. Supply Chain & Logistics Management Oversee end-to-end logistics operations covering raw material collection, warehousing, transportation, and product dispatch. Manage coordination with logistics partners and shipping lines for domestic and international distribution. Ensure compliance with export documentation, customs clearance, and transport safety standards. Optimize warehouse space, inventory accuracy, and material flow. Develop efficient routing and delivery strategies to minimize costs and lead times. 3. Procurement & Vendor Relations Source and maintain strong relationships with coconut suppliers, cooperatives, and logistics providers. Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Coordinate with finance for vendor billing, freight reconciliation, and operational budgeting. 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance Implement and maintain quality systems (GMP, HACCP, FDA, and ISO standards). Ensure food safety, product traceability, and sustainability compliance. Coordinate with regulatory agencies for product certification and export permits. 5. Team Leadership & Development Lead and coach production, warehouse, and logistics teams to deliver operational excellence. Conduct performance appraisals and implement staff training in operations and supply chain best practices. Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Food Technology, or related field . At least 5–8 years of experience in operations and logistics management , preferably in the coconut, agriculture, or food processing industry . Strong knowledge of production processes, warehouse management, and transportation systems . Experience in export logistics and dealing with international clients/customs. Excellent leadership, planning, and analytical skills.
