More at Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Malware Researcher to join our Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will analyze and reverse engineer malware threats to protect our customers from evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for uncovering and mitigating security vulnerabilities. Responsibilities Malware Analysis - Analyze and reverse engineer malicious objects using static and dynamic analysis techniques. Engage in projects geared towards improving detection technology. Enhance Trellix’s security content infrastructure and release process. Qualifications At least 5-10 years experience in malware analysis and reverse engineering Expert in IDA Pro, llyDbg, x64/32 debug Experience in exploits/vulnerability research Experience in sandbox-based detection technologies Experience in network traffic analysis Knowledge in malware detection for static, network, and dynamic technologies Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python is required Experience with threat intelligence platforms and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, YARA) Experience in working for AV operations and SOC environments is a plus Additional Qualifications Passionate to jump on anything where security research requires Ability to come up with forward looking projects Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis skills Experience working in fast-paced development environments Excellent written & verbal communication skills Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills Self-driven, proactive, hardworking, team-player with a good sense of humor BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience Benefits Retirement Plans Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave Support for Community Involvement We’re serious about our commitment to a workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute to our industry-leading products and customer support, which is why we prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation or any other legally protected status.
